which apps can i limit with friends67?

any app on your phone: instagram, tiktok, youtube, reddit, x, snapchat, games, anything. every app gets its own daily limit, and limits reset every day.

how is friends67 different from apple screen time?

screen time limits are easy to override: you tap ignore limit and nobody notices. with friends67, the app locks when your time is up, and getting more time means sending your friends a selfie, so somebody always sees when you give in.

on iphone, friends67 blocks apps through apple's screen time api. on android it uses accessibility services and usage access.

do my friends need friends67 too?

no. it works best when they have it, but in soft mode your requests go through on their own until you add friends, and in hardcore mode you can send a request as a link that anyone can approve, no app needed.

what is soft mode?

soft mode is the gentler setting in friends67: a selfie is all it takes to get extra time. start there if hardcore mode feels too strict.

what is hardcore mode?

hardcore mode is a setting you choose to turn on for yourself.

with hardcore mode on, every request for more time goes to your friends, and they have to approve it. no auto-approve, no way around it.

how do emergency tokens work?

we understand that unexpected things happen. emergency tokens let you temporarily bypass app blocks without waiting for a friend's approval. these tokens are very limited and should only be used in real emergencies.

can friends67 block apps at set times, like when i study or sleep?

yes, with downtime. pick the hours you want for studying, work or sleep, and friends67 keeps distracting apps locked until it is over.

can i block apps together with my friends?

yes. start a session to block distracting apps for the next few hours, alone or as a group. everyone in a group session sees who is still locked in.

does friends67 track everything on my phone?

no. we follow a "local-first" philosophy. detailed usage statistics stay only on your own device. our servers only store your friend settings, emergency tokens, and the specific unlock requests you send for your friends to review. friends67 never sees what you do inside your apps and never sells your personal data.

how to delete your account

you can delete your account from the settings menu inside the mobile app, or visit our account deletion page for more instructions. all your personal data, request history, and friendships will be removed from our servers.
